Nuvara Connect Inc. ("Nuvara Connect", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information, including personal health information (PHI). Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed), and selected role (Senior, Family Member, or Caregiver).

Health & Wellness Data: Depending on your role and usage, we may collect medication schedules, wellness check-in responses, mobility and cognitive assessment data, aging scores, and care notes entered by caregivers.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our Services, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps.

Communications: If you contact us for support or feedback, we retain those communications to resolve your inquiry and improve our Services.

Payment Information: Payment transactions are processed by our third-party payment processor (GoDaddy Commerce). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Nuvara Connect platform and Services.
  • Enable care coordination between seniors, family members, and caregivers.
  • Send medication reminders, wellness alerts, and care notifications.
  • Generate wellness scores, aging intelligence reports, and trend analyses.
  • Process subscription payments and manage your account.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations, including PHIPA.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

We do not sell your personal information or personal health information to third parties.

3. Disclosure of Information

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Within your care network: Health and wellness data is shared with family members and caregivers you have explicitly authorized within the platform.
  • Service providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery) who process data solely on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nuvara Connect, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information and personal health information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).

Health records may be subject to minimum retention periods under applicable provincial health legislation.

5. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
  • Role-based access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel.
  • Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Audit logging of access to personal health information.
